Metabolic & Cardiovascular Exercise Physiology
At Territory Sportsmedicine, our Exercise Physiology team uses individually prescribed exercise to help people manage metabolic and cardiovascular conditions, improve physical capacity and build confidence with exercise.
Exercise is an important component of the management of many chronic health conditions. The right program, however, needs to take into account your medical history, current fitness, medications, symptoms and individual health goals.
How Exercise Physiology Can Help:
- Individual Assessment: We assess your current activity levels, strength, cardiovascular fitness, functional capacity and any factors that may affect your ability to exercise safely.
- Personalised Exercise Prescription: Your program may include aerobic exercise, resistance training and functional exercise tailored to your current capacity.
- Graded Progression: Exercise is progressively adjusted as your fitness, strength and confidence improve.
- Long-term Self-management: Our aim is to help you develop a sustainable approach to physical activity that can become part of your ongoing health management.
