VO₂ Master Performance Assessment – Parap High Performance Gym
At Territory Sportsmedicine, we offer advanced VO₂ Max testing using the VO2 Master Analyzer, delivering gold-standard insights into your aerobic fitness, endurance capacity, and overall performance.
Conducted in our purpose-built Rehabilitation & High Performance Gym in Parap, this test provides objective data to guide training, rehabilitation, and long-term health outcomes.
What is VO₂ Max?
VO₂ Max is the maximum amount of oxygen your body can utilise during exercise, widely regarded as the gold standard measure of cardiovascular fitness and longevity.
It reflects how efficiently your:
- Heart pumps blood
- Lungs deliver oxygen
- Muscles use that oxygen to produce energy
Higher VO₂ Max levels are associated with:
- Improved endurance performance
- Greater work capacity
- Better long-term health and longevity
Who is this for?
VO₂ Max testing is valuable for:
- Athletes – endurance, field-based, and team sports
- Rehabilitation clients – structured return-to-performance
- Police, Defence & Emergency Services – occupational fitness
- General population – improving health, fitness, and longevity
What Does the Test Involve?
VO₂ Max testing is a graded exercise test performed on a treadmill or bike.
You will:
- Be fitted with a lightweight mask connected to the VO₂ Master system
- Begin with a structured warm-up
- Progress through increasing intensity stages
- Exercise to maximal effort
The system measures your oxygen consumption continuously as intensity increases, identifying your true physiological limits.
Duration: 1 Hour including warm-up and recovery and discussion
What you get?
Following your test, you’ll receive a comprehensive performance report including:
- VO₂ Max (ml/kg/min)
- Heart rate training zones
- Aerobic and anaerobic thresholds
- Caloric expenditure and fuel utilisation
- Comparison to norms for your age group
Most importantly, we translate this into a clear, practical plan for training or rehabilitation.
